Last week, Washington witnessed something powerful. Ukrainian Week, now in its 5th year, brought together over 1,000 Americans from across the country and 300 participants from Ukraine for a week of prayer, dialogue, and action.
Religious leaders, policymakers, and business professionals united in common purpose: standing with Ukraine. We’re grateful for the inspiring words from Congressmembers Marcy Kaptur, Joe Wilson, Mike Quigley, and Pastor Mark Burns.
A major win: secured the votes needed to bring the Ukraine Support Act to Congress for consideration.
But some of the most meaningful moments happened between sessions. Americans and diaspora members sat down with Ukrainian defenders, veterans, and chaplains. These personal conversations were filled with warmth, emotion, and understanding. Thank you to everyone who made the time to connect.
From the Dignitas Ukraine American team, Yulia O’Connell joined Ukrainian Week and helped us build valuable new connections while spreading the word about our mission.
One thing is clear: American support for Ukraine isn’t fading. Ukrainian Week in Washington proved it once again.
